EEC simplified procedure for importing medical tomographs
The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board has expanded the list of civil radio-electronic equipment and high-frequency devices the import of which does not require any authorizations.
In particular, the updated list now features magnetic resonance imaging scanners and medical MRI systems. Besides, there are new restrictions on using radio receiving facilities without radio-emitting devices for certain purposes.
“These devices cause no interference. Therefore, today’s resolution will remove unnecessary administrative procedures and reduce the time for customs declaration with no harm to safety of using the radio spectrum,” Vahagn Ghazaryan, Director of the Tariff and Non-tariff Customs Regulation Department of the EEC said.
According Mr Ghazaryan, the approved amendments will have a positive impact on business environment in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) territory as well as enable speeding up the supply of necessary equipment.
The Decision shall come into effect in 30 calendar days after its publication.
