EAEU Technical Regulations, sanitary and veterinary rules face improvemens

May, 27 witnessed quite a few changes in the EAEU certification rules made at the EAC Advisory Committee session. 

To begin with, a new Technical Regulation was approved – “Safety of metro rolling stock”. This Regulation will contain requirements individual for metro rolling stock components. 

What comes next, the Advisory Committee opened up a public discussion of adjustments to the Technical Regulation (TR) 010 “Safety of machinery and equipment”. Certain provisions of the TR are supposed to be specified based on the expertise of their use. 
 
Finally, the Committee addressed a number of issues related to veterinary and sanitary control. For example, it approved changes in veterinary control procedures carried out at EAEU borders. All of this will help upgrade the EAEU certification system and ensure a more intensive and closer supervision of products’ safety and quality.
