Under the law product fire safety is subject to mandatory certification. A fire safety certificate confirms that products launched in the Russian market, comply with flammability regulations to man-made objects used for construction, manufacturing, assembling, safekeeping, maintenance and dismantling purposes.Certification procedure is based on expert opinion on flammability, inflammability, smoke-producing capacity and toxic level of combustion elements of the tested product.

With a mandatory fire safety certificate, product holder or service supplier proves that products/services are duly tested and safe and meet existing standards and requirements.

What kind of fire safety certificate do you need?

Current legislation provides for two forms of certification:

• A mandatory fire safety certificate is issued on products included in the Federal regulation №123 and Rosstandart decree №474. On the basis of product specifications certification bodies can issue a Declaration or a Certificate of Conformity to safety regulations.
• A voluntary certificate will offer a firmer quality guarantee to your products.
