What products are subject to 025/2011 CU TR certification?
1. This Technical Regulation (TR) lays down requirements to furniture that enters EAEU markets. The rules primarily focus on ensuring human health and well-being, preserving wildlife as well as preventing actions that can mislead customers of vehicle’s safety and qualities.
2. The TR covers all furniture items, including bespoke ones to be sold or used within EAEU.
3. A list of products liable to CU TR 025/2011 is presented in Annex 1 of the TR.
4. This TR doesn’t cover
-medical furniture, including special-purpose one such as surgical table, exam table, hospital beds, dentist’s chair, etc;
-furniture to be used on air, ground, underground transport;
-antique furniture;
-used / repaired furniture;
-furniture samples for exhibition and advertisement
5. To classify a product as furniture subject to CU TR 025 certification it’s to be identified first.
5.1 Identification is carried out though comparing name, label of the furniture with data included in a Declaration or Certificate of Conformity or technical documentation.
