1. This Technical Regulation (TR) lays down requirements to milk and dairy products that enter EAEU markets. The rules primarily focus on ensuring human health and well-being, preserving wildlife as well as preventing actions that can mislead customers of products’ safety and qualities.
2. This TR stipulates requirements to:
а) raw milk, skimmed milk, cream;
b) dairy products;
c) food for small children (0-3 aged), preschoolers (3-6 aged), schoolchildren (6 ager or older), milk formula, milk porridges, etc.
d) milk and dairy production, storage, transportation, disposal;
e) components necessary for milk product processing
3. This TR doesn’t include the following products:
а) milk products for special-purpose nutrition (except for child food);
b) pastry, dietary and biological supplements, medicine, animal food
в) milk and dairy made by individuals for personal consumption and not intended for selling on EAEU markets
4. This TR sets forth obligatory rules for milk and milk products, their labels and packages. Along with that, it's necessary to take in requirements of other CU TRs such as CU TR 022/2011 “Food product labeling”, CU TR 005/2011 “Product packaging”.
