What products are subject to 040/2016 CU TR certification?
1. This Technical Regulation (TR) lays down requirements to fish and fish products that enter EAEU markets. The rules primarily focus on ensuring human health and well-being, preserving wildlife as well as preventing actions that can mislead customers of products’ safety and qualities.
2. This TR sets requirements to:
a) -raw fish, marine invertebrates;
-refrigerated fish;
-processed fish
-dried fish
-pickled fish
-smoked fish
-fish for baby food
-half-finished fish
-minced fish
-canned fish
-caviar
-fish fat
b) fish production, storage, transportation, marketing, disposal
This TR sets forth obligatory rules for fish and fish products, their labels and packages. Along with that, it's necessary to take in requirements of other CU TRs such as CU TR 022/2011 “Food product labeling”, CU TR 005/2011 “Product packaging.
3. This TR doesn’t apply to:
а) process of breeding fish and marine invertebrates
b) special-purpose fish food (except for baby food);
c) biological and dietary supplements that contain fish products;
d) fish products made in private households for personal consumption;
е) reptile and amphibian food;
